Monday, August 4th, the Outreach Committee under the direction of Clay Vogler and Dale Dickkut started a "Building Project". It is a storage unit for the CARE house in Rock Port. This will give the women and children a safe place to store their personal things. It should take about 4 days. Volunteers are needed. Lunch is provided by the Outreach Committee.
This is Day 1 at the "Building Project"
Day 2 at the "Building Project"
Day 3 and we are soon finished. We will order siding, install it in about 2 weeks and the storage unit for the CARE house will be complete. Thank you; Clay Vogler, Dale Dickkut, Curt Vogler, John Eilers and the ladies on the Outreach Committee for serving lunch.
On Sunday, August 31, 2014, we were privileged to have Pastor David Klappenbach and his family at FLC. They spent Friday night and Saturday in the Rock Port area touring the parsonage, FLC and the town. He is a candidate for pastor at FLC. (You will find a slide show below of Sunday, August 31st and also a video of the Open Discussion on Sunday morning)
